Under the direction of the Risk and Quality Director, the Risk and Quality Specialist will play an essential role in the coordination, implementation and evaluation of daily risk and quality operations. Utilization of skills to effectively collaborate in the management and reduction of risk issues; development of targeted solutions to support organizational initiatives; proactively manage quality functions and communicate with a diverse audience of healthcare, legal and insurance professionals. This is a hybrid role based in our Maitland, FL office.

Job Highlights
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (The ideal candidate must be able to complete all physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation)
  • Assists in the maintenance of the Risk and Quality Program in accordance with corporate initiatives.
  • Participates in data collection, management, and reporting of risk and quality incidents, including management of case files and correspondence in an organized, confidential, and secure manner through corporate tracking systems.
  • Prepares quality reports with tracking and trending of identified risk and quality measures, escalating unusual or recurring trends in patient care to the Director.
  • Assists the Risk and Quality Director in the development and maintenance of overall risk management operations through data collection, investigation, and submission of adverse events and identification of potential areas of risk.
  • Uses established peer review guidelines to analyze cases for review and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge/Skills/Abilities (KSAs):
  • Some experience in healthcare risk and quality improvement programs including outcome reporting a plus.
  • Clinical knowledge and experience
  • Strong communication skills (listening, speaking, writing).
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation.
  • Results-oriented and able to consistently meet service level targets.
  • Ability to adhere to policy in the maintenance of confidential information.
  • Ability to work in computer applications including MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Adobe, MS Outlook.
  • Ability to work in collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to present materials in a concise and detailed manner
