Supervisor, Warehouse
Overview:
As a warehouse supervisor, the responsibilities include overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, which involves managing a team of Material Handlers. This entails ensuring that all material handling tasks are executed in compliance with safety regulations, productivity standards, and quality requirements.Additionally, the role involves providing guidance, training, and support to the Material Handlers, monitoring their performance, and implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency and effectiveness. The warehouse supervisor is also involved in inventory management, coordinating with other departments, and contributing to the development and implementation of warehouse policies and procedures to streamline operations and enhance overall productivity.
Responsibilities:
Specific Responsibilities- Coordinate daily Material Handler duties and assign tasks based on daily priorities.
- Maintain training records and ensure all team members are in compliance with IVC training requirements.
- Monitor, correct, and submit time and attendance records daily and at the end of each pay period for all direct reports.
- Work with department manager to determine daily department goals, then execute.
- Monitor associate performance and conduct performance reviews within expected timelines.
- Monitor compliance with cGMP, OSHA, FDA, and other operational guidelines.
- Responsible for ensuring that team members are accountable to department and organizational standards and policies.
- Demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and accountability.
- Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.
- Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
- Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education, Experience, and Licenses:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in warehousing within a manufacturing environment.
- Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 1-3 years’ experience in warehousing within a manufacturing environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Macros) preferred
- Physical Requirements: sitting 50%, walking 50%
