Uni-Cast is looking for an Engineering Technician to join the engineering team to help with day-to-day activities such as reading and interpreting blue prints, building work instructions, managing technical data, building production charts and reports from test data.

The Technician will be on the production floor observing and participating in the testing processes, using computers and data acquisition systems to compile and review the tests, and reporting on the results to engineers or customers.

Engineering Technician Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Manage projects and deadlines
  • Nondestructive testing
  • Destructive testing
  • Dimensional Inspection and testing
  • Release samples for engineering or production - track to completion
  • Work on or help design engineering projects – idea to completion
  • Communicate to engineering or other staff tests, results, issues etc.
  • Record and compile data – able to review and interpret
  • Troubleshooting process and equipment variations and reporting of issues or results
  • Completing reports and present to customers
  • Review blueprints or 3D models
  • Follow all safety requirements

Additional skills and knowledge:

  • Mechanically inclined
  • Degree in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineer or Technician, Manufacturing Engineer or Technician, Industrial Engineer or Technician
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Computer skills: CAD (Solidworks, Pro-E, Catia, Unigraphics, Inventor, etc.) and Excel and Word
  • Foundry knowledge
  • Knowledge of electrical diagram and wiring

Requirement:

  • Must be a United States citizen or United States person (permanent resident)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
