Accounts Payable Clerk

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in the Rental/Leasing Services industry, based in Bonita Springs, Florida. The role involves a high level of organization and attention to detail, with key tasks focused on maintaining and updating financial records, processing invoices, and resolving account-related issues.

• Accurate and efficient processing of credit applications from customers.
• Maintaining up-to-date and precise customer credit records.
• Resolving any issues related to accounts payable or accounts receivable with customers or vendors in a timely manner.
• Ensuring the sub-ledger is updated and reconciled with the general ledger.
• Managing cash applications, account reconciliations, and chargebacks.
• Conducting bank reconciliations.
• Overseeing debit and credit transactions.
• Handling month-end close processes.
• Creating and managing journal entries.
• Coding and processing invoices accurately.
• Ensuring proper matching and batching of invoices.
• Managing full cycle accounts payable processes.
• Handling purchase orders and associated invoices. • A minimum of one year experience in a similar role or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel, with the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.
• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software.
• Proficiency in English and in Office Suite.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High school degree or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is a plus.
