This General Contractor seeks a motivated estimator to evaluate project plans, prepare competitive estimates, and take on key responsibilities within a high-performing preconstruction team. Job Description
  • Collaborate with clients and General Contractors to develop estimates for projects of varying sizes.
  • Work with Project Managers to compile bidder lists.
  • Maintain and update the bid log, ensuring accurate status tracking for management.
  • Engage directly with project owners, including attending meetings alongside partners and project managers.
  • Participate in bi-weekly team project updates.
  • Assist owners with bid preparation and proposal development, including conducting walk-throughs as needed.
  • Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors and suppliers, including those providing concrete, steel, joists, precast, and masonry materials.

The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction estimating or preconstruction.
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately review plans and assess drawings.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdictions, codes, and review processes is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
