Dental Receptionist/Financial Coordinator for Edina and Maple Grove
Job Description: Dental Receptionist- Previous Dental Experience is Preferred but not Required.
We are a growing orthodontic practice serving patients in Edina and Maple Grove area. We are looking for a bright and energetic receptionist with a bubbly personality to join our fast-paced office. Our goal is to provide our patients with service and an experience which exceeds their expectations!This position needs a person who has strong communication and phone skills and has the ability to perform small presentations. The position will require one to display open communication to co-workers and a commitment to patient satisfaction.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES.Responsible for administering the day-to-day activities of the practice, including: Patient scheduling and recall system, insurance verification and claim submission/review, accounts receivable, patient contracts, maintaining appearance and order of office, office correspondence for patients, dentists and other businesses and 3rd party payers.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE: Reception Management
Manage day-to-day operations of dental officeReview the office for a neat, professional appearance and make necessary changes
Confirm daily schedule and update insurance information of patients
Patient Management
Check in patients according to office protocol, verifying and updating patient information
Manage recall system
Oversee patient relations & office public relations. Help explain office policy to patients
Confirm upcoming appointments according to protocol
Schedule patients for efficient use of doctor and staff time
Collect payment from patients at the time of treatment
Manage relationship between dental offices and coordinate in shared patient care
Gather and accurately record insurance and referral information from patients
Insurance and account management
Manage patient financial accounts
Update insurance information on all patients at all times and submit claim forms
Assist in the resolution of problems with third-party payers
Prepare statements and maintain accounts receivable activity
Correspondence
Prepare and send out new patient and referral letters.
Marketing and Public Relations management
PERSONNEL REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience
High school diploma
Customer service or patient relations experience desired
Dental/medical office experience preferred
INTERPERSONAL
Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, other staff members and community. Good team player and able to adapt to office policy improvements
