Licensed Vocational Nurse
A Step to Freedom Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families facing social and economic challenges, is seeking a compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. The LVN will play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare services to our clients in need, contributing to their well-being and overall health outcomes.
Responsibilities:- Conduct patient assessments, including recording medical history and vital signs, to ensure accurate and comprehensive care.
- Assist clients with behavioral health needs, home community care, and case management under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications, perform treatments such as gastric lavage, and provide patient education on health management.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Participate in travel nursing assignments as needed to support clients in various settings, including Level II Trauma Centers.
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment by adhering to established protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Demonstrate the ability to lift patients when necessary and handle inhalation procedures with proficiency.
- Completion of an accredited LVN program and current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
- Experience in behavioral health, home community care, or related fields is preferred.
- Proficiency in patient assessment, case management, and medical record documentation.
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including lifting patients and performing gastric lavage procedures.
