It also includes establishing a comprehensive set of controls and budgets. Additionally, the Controller is tasked with arranging financial audits and spearheading efforts to maintain internal financial software.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all accounting activities, including accounts payable, billing, fixed assets, and accounts receivable.
• Lead and develop finance team members, providing feedback and learning opportunities.
• Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reporting.
• Coordinate the monthly closing process, ensuring data is accurately compiled and documented.
• Manage the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for accurate accounting of consolidated business results.
• Prepare and coordinate internal and external department and organization level financial reports.
• Analyze financials and generate reports for trends and information to assist management in making business decisions.
• Oversee grant and contract accounting, financial reporting, and related analysis.
• Coordinate financial audits and tax return preparation.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of efficient and effective accounting policies, procedures, and practices.

The ideal Controller candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. MBA preferred.

Other requirements for the Controller position include and are not limited to:

• 3+ Accounting oversight/management
• Experience in medium to large non-profit preferred.
• Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Sage 100, and report generation required.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and accuracy
• Team player with strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
