Payroll Clerk

Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Clerk for our client in Harahan, Louisiana. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be in charge of managing payroll procedures, maintaining and auditing accounting records, and providing support in employee relations. This is a short-term contract to full time employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process payroll using accounting software systems
• Audit payroll records and correct any discrepancies
• Utilize 'About Time' and 'Viewpoint Vista' for managing payroll and accounting functions
• Administer benefits payroll and handle related functions
• Provide support in onboarding new employees
• Maintain accurate employee records using ADP Workforce Now and Ceridian
• Handle employee relations and resolve any issues related to payroll
• Support in preparing supporting documents for payroll
• Use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI for data management and reporting purposes
• Proficiency in 'About Time' software for efficient time tracking and project management
• Knowledge of general accounting functions, with the ability to manage financial records and transactions
• Experience in auditing, ensuring accurate timekeeping and payroll records
• Familiarity with benefit functions, including handling employee benefits and retirement programs
• Proficiency in using Viewpoint Vista for streamlined operations and project management
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation
• Experience with Microsoft Power BI for interactive data visualization and business analytics
• Experience in onboarding, facilitating smooth transitions for new employees
• Ability to manage and organize supporting documents for payroll processing
• Strong skills in employee relations, demonstrating detail-oriented communication and conflict resolution
• Experience in benefits payroll, understanding of laws and regulations related to employee benefits
