Procurement Specialist

We are offering a contract employment opportunity with potential for conversion for a Procurement Specialist based in San Diego, California. This role is within the Healthcare, Hospitals, and Social Assistance industry, where you will be heavily involved in managing vendor relationships, reviewing relevant data, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently manage the bid/quote process for services, supplies, and equipment, while closely collaborating with the requester to develop detailed specifications.
• Conduct comprehensive vendor background checks to ascertain compliance with policy requirements.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure all aspects such as rates, terms and conditions, agreements, licenses, and insurance are properly reviewed and approved.
• Maintain updated and accurate records including vendor licenses, insurance certificates, and statements of work, quotes, and proposals through the CRM database.
• Keep up-to-date contract files, agreements, quotes, account details/contact information, and tracking sheets.
• Identify and develop appropriate sources of supply while maintaining cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay abreast with trends, technologies, products, and services.
• Review invoices, prices, quotes, and service data as part of risk management.
• Proficiency in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems
• Familiarity with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
• Experience with ERP Solutions
• Understanding of Budget Processes within a healthcare environment
• Knowledge of Buying Processes specific to the healthcare industry
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Ability to manage and process Invoices effectively
