Financial Business Analyst

This role offers a temporary employment opportunity through the end of 2024 (approximately) with potential for a long extension.

Responsibilities:

• Document transaction flow as it relates to revenue recognition, deferred revenue and expenses.
• Act as a liaison between the business unit and IT, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.
• Undertake a detailed review of business processes and propose improvements where necessary.
• Validate workflows to ensure they are efficient and meet the needs of the business.
• Handle process documentation tasks, maintaining clear and accurate records.
• Play a key role in managing through an integration process (from Great Plains to D365), ensuring all elements are effectively coordinated.
• Gain a thorough understanding of transaction flows and determine entries related to deferred revenue and deferred expenses.
• Use your solid accounting background to understand and manage revenue accounting processes.
• Work on ERP implementation projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
• Leverage your experience with change management and business process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Financial Business Analyst role or related field
• Proficiency in ERP Solutions is essential
• Thorough understanding of Accounting Functions is required
• Should have experience in Change Management procedures and strategies
• Ability to create Process Documentation and carry out Process Mapping effectively
• Experience in handling Journal Entries is necessary
• Must have participated in Software Implementations and System Implementation projects
• Experience in handling Deferred Revenue and Revenue Accounting is necessary
• Familiarity with Revenue Recognition technique is required
• Proficiency in MS Great Plains Accounting and D365 is a plus
• Candidate must have the legal right to work in the specified location
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills (soft skills are important to this role)
• Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Degree in Finance, Business, or related field is preferred.
