About Our Client
Regional construction contractor based in Uniondale, Nassau County. This role is 5 days per week in office, and offers a chance to work with a large and respected leader in construction in NY.
Job Description
You will be asked to:
- Maintain and update financial records, ledgers, and accounts payable/receivable
- Track and manage project budgets and expenses
- Process invoices, purchase orders, subcontracts, and payment requests
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and categorized
- Manage accounts payable and oversee timely payments
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
- Assist with lien releases, contractor licenses, and insurance certificates
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and construction regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain client/vendor relationships

The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
✔ Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field✔ Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in bookkeeping, preferably in the construction industry
✔ Technical Skills: Proficiency in Sage 100
