Full Charge Bookkeeper

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Modesto, California. In this role, you will be entrusted with managing multiple general ledgers and supervising the department assistant within our property management industry setting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage multiple general ledgers
• Handle both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
• Conduct weekly check runs and deposit and receipt checks
• Perform bank statement reconciliations
• Carry out data entry tasks and route financial statements to clients
• Assist with budget preparation and perform reconciliations
• Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, QuickBooks, Yardi, and Journal Entries
• Supervise the department assistant, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to company policies and procedures.

• Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Full Charge Bookkeeper role.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for various accounting functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with maintaining and managing General Ledger.
• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation and Bank Reconciliations with accuracy.
• Experience in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks.
• Knowledge of Yardi software for property management accounting.
• Ability to prepare and maintain Journal Entries.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
