We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in the social care/services industry, located in Newburgh, New York. As a Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will be involved in various accounting and financial tasks, ensuring the efficient operation of our financial department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation of financial packages and journal entries
• Manage the process of closing the books efficiently and accurately
• Handle deposits and ensure all transactions are correctly recorded
• Oversee biweekly payroll for approximately 500 employees across two payrolls
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and Microsoft Excel to manage and analyze financial data
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations in an organized manner
• Participate in the preparation of the annual budget and conduct cash flow analysis
• Use ADP - Financial Services and ADP - Payroll for managing financial services and payroll respectively
• Operate Great Plains (GPAC) and other computerized accounting systems effectively
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services
• Familiarity with Computerized Accounting System
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to handle all Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Ability to prepare and manage Annual Budget
• Experience in Cash Flow Analysis
• Familiarity with ADP - Payroll
• Experience in handling Payroll for over 500 Employees
• Proficiency in preparing Journal Entries
• Experience in handling Bank Deposit
