We are currently seeking a personable, energetic, professional Patient Care Associate to join our outstanding team at Carroll Vision Center in Westminster, MD . The Patient Care Associate plays a crucial role in our practice, greeting patients as they enter, checking in and out, scheduling, and performing other administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting patients in person and on the phone.
  • Optimizing provider schedules and patient satisfaction with efficient scheduling.
  • Notifying providers of patient arrivals.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and comfort patients by effectively answering or referring questions to the appropriate team member.
  • Ensuring availability of treatment information by retrieving and updating patient records.
  • Verify financial records and collect patient charges while filing and expediting third-party claims.
  • Maintaining office inventory and equipment by anticipating supply needs and expediting orders.
  • Cross-train in other areas as needed.

Qualifications:

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Detail-oriented and ability to multitask.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Knowledge of MS Office.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records software is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare is preferred but not required, and I am willing to train the right candidate.
  • Bi-lingual English/Spanish a plus.

$15.00 - $21.00 an hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as, but not limited to full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, annual educational reimbursement, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO).
