Staff Accountant
Overview:
Under the general supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, other general ledger transactions, performs account reconciliations, processing of company credit cards, maintains full functions of accounts receivable, and Year-End filings.
This is a full time, exempt, benefit eligible position.

Benefits

COVID-19 Vaccine Policy

Responsibilities:
- Conducts month end close journal entries, with minimum supervision.
- Prepares monthly accounts reconciliation.
- Makes weekly check remote deposit and cash deposit.
- Prepares weekly cash collection reports.
- Generates and distributes weekly cash reports for relevant teams.
- Maintains company credit cards, which includes paying off monthly statement’s balances, sending out statement transactions and collecting receipts from card holders.
- Reconciles monthly credit card accounts.
- Coordinates and resolves various issues with banks.
- Assists in year-end audit.
- Assists in Welfare Exemption, 571L, and taxes filing
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- AA degree, or equivalent experience.
- 2 to 3 years Accounting and Accounts Receivable experience.
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain record keeping systems and procedures.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, calculate numbers and post to records.
- Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word programs
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience in Non-Profit/Community Health Centers highly desired.
- Ability to complete task assignments on a timely manner.
