Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Casual Part Time Electrostatics Subject Matter Expert located at the Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, FL. This individual provides knowledge and hands on support for design, build, and test of complex Electrostatic Physics based devices and systems.This is a casual part time position. The number of hours required will be variable and some weeks, no support will be needed at all.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- 15 years of related experience
- U.S. Citizenship is required
- Direct experience with the NASA KSC Electrostatics Laboratory
- Direct knowledge of the NASA KSC Electrostatics Laboratory processes.
- Excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Must be able to coordinate work between multiple project disciplines.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects without missing deadlines or sacrificing accuracy.
- Must be self-motivated, demonstrate initiative, and be able to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Competent in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint.
- Provide expert level input for the design of Electrostatics Physics based hardware
- Provide hands-on support in assembling hardware.
- Provide real-time support of tests.
