Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilities include leading requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, user testing facilitation, and contributing to the development and maintenance of processes and procedures. This position is a blend of project and maintenance development, located at our corporate headquarters in Saint Petersburg, FL.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Play a crucial role in the analysis and development of a consolidated order data store across different asset classes.
• Collaborate with Trading Desks (Equity, Option, Fixed Income, Mutual Fund and Structured Products), Compliance/Legal and Technology Teams.
• Instrumental from analysis, documentation, solution inception through to ongoing maintenance, covering a wide array of trading aspects and system integrations.
• Experience with FIX, FpML message formats.
• Responsible for analysis and support of new technology solutions and processes, enhancements of existing systems, including workflow and data flow design.
• Responsibilities include leading requirement gathering, analysis, documentation, user testing facilitation, and contributing to the development and maintenance of processes and procedures
• Familiarity with SDLC, IT methodologies, Agile, and Waterfall processes.
• Skilled in gathering information, writing BRD and FRD, and advanced SQL queries.
• Proficient in MS Office; TFS, Postman, and Oracle databases knowledge is advantageous.
• Adaptable, with the ability to translate between technical and business languages.
• Effective at problem-solving, decision-making, and maintaining current industry knowledge.
• Knowledge of trading lifecycle for equity, fixed income, or options securities

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Domain Expertise: Must have knowledge of the Financial Services industry, front, middle, and back-office experience and an understanding of an order/trade life cycle Domain Expertise.
• Must have knowledge of building and maintaining of a consolidated data store that sources inputs from various sources Technical Proficiency: Required experience with Agile methodology, SQL, JSON, and other relevant technologies.
• Requirements Gathering: Lead cross-functional efforts to define detailed business and technical requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Work collaboratively across the organization to gather, share, and articulate information.
• Design Collaboration: Utilize design-thinking to co-create and bring experiences to life.
• User Stories Creation: Convert requirements into detailed user stories to guide development and testing.
• Feature Prioritization: Manage and prioritize the application backlog for sprint planning.
• Data Analysis: Use data analysis to inform decisions.
• Agile Facilitation: Lead Scrum ceremonies, including planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Client Data Synthesis: Develop customized solutions based on client data analysis.
• Cross-functional Leadership: Drive practice management improvements by working with various departments.
• Risk and Change Management: Apply principles effectively to manage risks and changes.

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field with at least three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Required experience in Financial Services, with a strong preference for trading systems knowledge.
