FULLY REMOTE Collaborating Psychiatrist
Overview:

This position will provide collaborative physician duties for a minimum of 1 (more if agreed upon) mental health nurse practitioner specifically for the youth population of 6-17 years of age. Estimated to be around 2-4 hours per month with ability for adjustment as needed.
This position can be fully remote.
Part Time 2-4 hours per month
Responsibilities:
- Be available for email, telephone, video, or in person consultations with collaborating staff
- Complete monthly review of patients records for collaborating staff to ensure compliance and best practice for delivery of medical care
- Participates in Organization’s Team meetings if needed
- Works collaboratively with leadership to address and/or evaluate issues around Morbidity and Mortality.
- Collaborate with Treatment teams, hospital psychiatrists, and other appropriate personnel for client hospital prescreening, admissions and discharges if appropriate
- Remains available to collaborating staff on an emergency basis in accordance with Community Behavioral Health clinical policies and procedures.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with all agency, referral, and accrediting bodies and other appropriate medical authorities, laws, rules and regulations necessary to maintain Organization certification.

Qualifications:
Education: Complete an accredited MD or DO program with a specialty in psychiatry.
Licenses or other required certifications: Must have Medical Board License to practice medicine and psychiatry in the State of Ohio. Current DEA registration.
Experience: Two years’ or more experience providing psychiatric services to youth. Must have experience utilizing electronic health records and the ability to navigate proficiently.
Specialized knowledge, skills, or abilities: This role requires that there are demonstrated skills in problems solving, decision-making, managing conflict, and follow through. Excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent documentation skills, excellent time management skills, ability to be self-directed, ability to meet outcomes as established for program or unit, excellent crisis management skills, ability to work within department budget, basic computer and keyboard knowledge in a network environment, and training skills.
