Student Worker, IT Support - Part-time, 20 hrs weekly

Position Summary:Under the direction of a member of the IS management team, performs assigned entry level IS tasks consistent with the educational course work of either a graduate or undergraduate student working towards a degree in computer-related field.
Responsibilities:
- As part of the work experience in Information Systems, the Trainee gains an understanding and assists Information Systems staff in installing, maintaining, upgrading, and decommissioning network hardware and software.
- Also may include:
- Desktop computers and their maintenance
- Networks and their maintenance
- Server configuration and maintenance
- Network/Server monitoring methods and tools
- Service Desk operations and management
- Application development and maintenance
- Assist with special projects as assigned.
- Maintains the customer service standards of the department and Versiti.
- Communicates clearly and respectfully with customers, donors, and colleagues, sharing all necessary information.
- Works effectively with team members, contributing to team efforts.
- Supports Versiti’s mission, vision, and values as well as department goals and objectives
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
- High School graduate currently pursuing a degree in a computer-related field.
