Controller

We are offering a long-term part-time contract employment opportunity for a Controller in the Manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be crucial to our transactional staff, managing a team and ensuring the smooth transition of responsibilities from the departing Controller.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the accounting functions of the organization
• Support the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Utilize QuickBooks to process and manage financial information
• Supervise the Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Manage and mentor the staff to ensure efficient operation
• Perform regular auditing to maintain the integrity of financial information
• Oversee and manage the organization's budget processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting and financial regulations and standards.
• Demonstrated proficiency in managing Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Familiarity with Auditing practices and principles
• Ability to oversee and manage Budget Processes
• Proficiency in using QuickBooks software for financial management
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
• Proven experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry
• Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to accounting and financial reporting
• CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team when necessary
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
