Responsibilities
  • Represent clients, including individuals and corporate entities, in various family law matters such as divorce, child custody, child support, equitable distribution, and protection from abuse cases, primarily in Western Pennsylvania.
  • Prepare and draft numerous legal motions and documents, ensuring compliance with Pennsylvania family law statutes and regulations, while gaining hands-on experience in case management.
  • Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies, providing essential background information and lingo relevant to family law.
  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to develop tailored strategies, effectively communicating complex legal concepts and keeping clients informed throughout the legal process.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience practicing family law, with some background in handling cases related to equitable distribution, custody, and protection from abuse.
  • While not required to run entire cases independently, candidates should possess a foundational understanding of family law principles and be willing to learn and grow within the firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.
