Position: Physical Therapist
Location: NYC, NY 10034

Duration: 3 Months

Job Summary: The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing physical therapy services to patients in inpatient acute care and rehabilitation settings. This includes assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients regain mobility and improve physical function.

Primary Duties:

  • Perform physical therapy assessments and evaluations for patients in inpatient acute care and rehabilitation settings.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to patients' needs and goals.
  • Provide direct therapeutic interventions to improve strength, mobility, and functional independence.
  • Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated care for patients.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment goals and home exercise programs.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working in inpatient acute bedside care and inpatient acute rehab settings.
  • Strong knowledge of physical therapy practices and interventions.

Education & Certifications:

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Required Licensure: New York State Physical Therapist License.

Schedule:

  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (includes a 30-minute break).
  • Work Days: Monday to Friday, with a Saturday commitment once per month.
  • Duration: 12-week assignment.
