Staff Accountant

We are providing a unique opportunity for a Staff Accountant in our Real Estate & Property industry, located in CINCINNATI, Ohio. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where the Staff Accountant will be instrumental in supporting various aspects of our accounting management.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in the establishment of internal controls and policies in accordance with legislation and best practices.
• Facilitating the preparation of financial statements in line with official guidelines and requirements.
• Conducting account reconciliations and managing journal entries and invoices for monthly or annual closing.
• Supporting the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Assisting in the generation of reports for management or regulatory bodies.
• Identifying and resolving any inaccuracies or imbalances in the company's accounting information.
• Utilizing the accounting IT system to streamline processes and maintain records.
• Reviewing and posting Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
• Conducting internal audits and managing bank accounts including daily and month-end reconciliation.
• Assisting in payroll reconciliation and month and year-end closing. • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role within the Real Estate & Property industry
• Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations
• In-depth knowledge of General Ledger management
• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries
• Experience with Month End Close procedures
• Advanced skills in using Microsoft Excel for financial tasks
• Familiarity with the Financial Close Process
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
