JOB DESCRIPTION
M&J is seeking an experienced Risk Manager for a new manufacturing facility located in Beltsville, MD where we will be performing construction management services. This is a contingent hire position, meaning that the position can only be filled/begin upon contract award by M&J Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing construction risk management plans
- Analysis of the financial impact on the project if any risks occur
- Performing a risk assessment: analyzing both current and potential risks that are affecting the project
- Performing a risk evaluation: evaluating previous management of risks and comparing them to current construction risk management services
- Establishing the level of risk a company is willing to take
- Preparing risk management and insurance budgets
- Reporting risks tailored to the target audience
- Creating business continuity plans to limit risks
- Implementing health and safety measures and purchasing insurance
- Conducting compliance audits
- Review any new major contracts or internal business protocols
- Building risk awareness among staff by providing support and training within the company
- Experience with systems like Microsoft Project, RiskMP, Archdesk, Primavera
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience
- Authorized to work in the US
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Financial Management, Business, Economics or other related field of study
