JOB DESCRIPTION

M&J is seeking an experienced Risk Manager for a new manufacturing facility located in Beltsville, MD where we will be performing construction management services. This is a contingent hire position, meaning that the position can only be filled/begin upon contract award by M&J Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing construction risk management plans
  • Analysis of the financial impact on the project if any risks occur
  • Performing a risk assessment: analyzing both current and potential risks that are affecting the project
  • Performing a risk evaluation: evaluating previous management of risks and comparing them to current construction risk management services
  • Establishing the level of risk a company is willing to take
  • Preparing risk management and insurance budgets
  • Reporting risks tailored to the target audience
  • Creating business continuity plans to limit risks
  • Implementing health and safety measures and purchasing insurance
  • Conducting compliance audits
  • Review any new major contracts or internal business protocols
  • Building risk awareness among staff by providing support and training within the company
  • Experience with systems like Microsoft Project, RiskMP, Archdesk, Primavera

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Authorized to work in the US
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Financial Management, Business, Economics or other related field of study
