Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Physician Liaison to join our healthcare team. The Physician Liaison will serve as the primary point of contact between our organization and employed physicians, community physicians, specialists, and healthcare providers.The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of healthcare services, and the ability to build lasting relationships with physician partners to ensure optimal patient engagement with our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with affiliated and non-affiliated physicians, specialists, and key healthcare providers to enhance networks and brand recognition.
- Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between UF Health St. Johns, internal stakeholders, and external physicians. Regularly update them on services, new treatments, and relevant initiatives.
- Physician Engagement: Conduct regular visits with affiliated and non-affiliated physicians and medical groups to ensure service satisfaction and address concerns or issues. Advocate for physicians and practices with leadership to identify additional business opportunities.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, trends, and physician preferences in the local market to provide actionable insights and develop strategies to enhance our physician network.
- Educational Support: Provide physicians and medical offices with educational materials and conduct presentations or seminars to keep them informed about our service lines, clinical programs, and updates.
- Reporting and Analytics: Track and report on key performance metrics, such as trends, physician engagement, and market opportunities. Analyze data to develop strategies for improving physician relationships.
- Problem Resolution: Act as a problem-solving resource for physicians, addressing concerns or challenges related to patient care or service delivery.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the leadership, marketing, patient care, and clinical teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on strategic initiatives. Participate in meetings and on committees, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associate’s degree is required. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field is preferred. A clinical background (RN, MD, etc.) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on physician relations, business development, or sales.

- Travel: Ability to travel locally to visit physicians and healthcare organizations as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in physician liaison roles or sales in the healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and tracking tools.
