Payroll Specialist

Robert Half Seattle is seeking a contract Payroll Specialist to assist our SaaS/Tech industry client through a period of transition. As a remote Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including processing payroll, maintaining accurate records, and resolving payroll-related inquiries.
You will also need to utilize a variety of systems and software, including ADP Workforce Now, ServiceNow Platform, and Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for a large number of employees (1000+)
- Review and correct errors on timecards, and manually input data for missed submissions into ADP
- Respond to and resolve payroll-related inquiries using the ServiceNow ticketing system
- Calculate commissions and bonuses manually using Excel, and apply advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUPS and PIVOTs
- Process employee terminations on a daily basis, and generate reports for termination checks
- Verify salary changes and new hires in Workday, ensuring the data flows directly into ADP
- Collaborate with the payroll accountant to reconcile accounts
- Proficiency in using ADP Workforce Now is required.
- Proficiency in Excel Formulas is necessary for effective performance in this role.
- The candidate should be experienced in payroll processing for at least 500+ (1000+ preferred)
- The candidate should be experienced in various Accounting Functions.
- The candidate should have a strong understanding of Benefit Functions.
- Familiarity with the ServiceNow Platform is expected.
