Key Responsibilities- General Ledger Maintenance: Prepare journal entries and maintain the accuracy of the general ledger, reconciling accounts and investigating discrepancies.
- Month-End Close: Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR): Support the AP and AR functions, including reconciling accounts, processing invoices, and resolving disputes.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance Support: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting regulations, and internal controls.
- Budget and Forecast Assistance: Work with management to assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Collaboration: Partner with other departments and external auditors, providing documentation and expertise as needed.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience in a professional setting; internship experience will be considered.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required (CPA or pursuing CPA preferred).
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and advanced Microsoft Excel experience (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
