Maintenance Supervisor

Position Overview:

Location: Fairburn, GA

Summary:

This role involves managing and performing complex maintenance tasks that require advanced skills and expertise in construction and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling intricate maintenance issues, supervising a team, and ensuring that all properties are safe, functional, and visually appealing for residents.

What you will be doing:

• Performs advanced maintenance procedures and repairs.
• Provides guidance and instruction to less experienced maintenance staff.
• Specializes in the maintenance and repair of specific systems.
• Troubleshoots electrical and HVAC systems.
• Ensures that all work complies with safety regulations and standards.
• Addresses maintenance work orders promptly and appropriately.
• Maintains accurate and detailed records of maintenance work and its completion.
• Identifies the proper equipment or machinery needed to complete a repair.
• Conducts routine property inspections and addresses maintenance concerns.
• Monitors and orders supplies and materials for maintenance tasks as needed.
• Collaborates with the property management team and delivers maintenance reports on each property.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of technical training in a maintenance- related experience.
• Extensive knowledge in troubleshooting and repairing HVAC systems.
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems.
• HVAC certification is strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and complete tasks by required deadlines.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to operate a variety of hand and power tools.
• Ability to learn and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
• Ability to interpret and follow technical manuals and blueprints.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds at a time.
• Physical stamina to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Ability to walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend, and use hands and fingers.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
