Litigation Paralegal- Palos Heights

We are a leading law firm based in Palos Heights, IL that specializes in representing municipalities, towns, and cities with their litigation and transactional work. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal with over 5 years of experience to assist our growing team.

Job Description:

You will also assist in the organization and management of document compilations, records, and databases.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive legal research and provide support to attorneys.
• Manage all aspects of discovery including drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Handle heavy E-filing in various courts.
• Answer interrogatories and assist in the preparation for depositions and court proceedings.
• Liaise with clients and professionals on legal matters.
• Organize and maintain case files and databases.
• Carry out regular administrative tasks, including managing correspondence, tracking deadlines, and ensuring all paperwork is filed correctly.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Paralegal Certificate preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Litigation.
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and court procedures.
• Proficient in the use of E-filing systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
