Sales Specialist

Job Overview:

The Sales Specialist is responsible for helping customers find the right vehicle that meets their needs and budget. This includes engaging with clients, understanding their requirements, providing detailed product knowledge, assisting with financing options, and closing the sale.

The role requires strong communication skills, product expertise, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Engagement:
  • Greet and interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Ask questions to determine the customer’s needs, preferences, and budget.
  • Present and demonstrate vehicles, highlighting key features, benefits, and specifications.
  • Sales Process Management:
  • Guide customers through the entire sales process from initial inquiry to final purchase.
  • Prepare and present detailed product and price quotes.
  • Discuss financing, leasing options, warranties, and additional services with customers.
  • Product Knowledge:
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive models, features, and specifications.
  • Provide expert advice on vehicle features, performance, and benefits.
  • Help customers compare different vehicles to ensure they make an informed decision.
  • Negotiation and Closing:
  • Negotiate pricing, trade-ins, and other terms with customers to close deals effectively.
  • Work with the finance department to finalize financing and leasing options.
  • Handle paperwork related to sales transactions, including contracts, warranties, and registration documents.
  • Customer Service:
  • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process and after the sale.
  • Assist customers with any questions or concerns post-purchase.
  • Resolve any issues that arise, such as trade-in evaluations or vehicle delivery.
  • Sales Goals and Performance:
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Keep detailed records of sales leads, activities, and outcomes in the CRM system.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions to continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Market Research and Promotion:
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and promotions.
  • Promote dealership events, promotions, and special offers to customers.
  • Build and maintain a network of potential clients and encourage referrals.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in automotive sales or a related field is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of automotive brands, models, and features.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and customer-focused attitude.
  • Comfortable working with computers and CRM software.
  • Valid driver’s license; familiarity with various vehicle models is a plus.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales, retail, or customer service is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with automotive financing, leasing options, and trade-in processes is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Primarily based in a dealership or showroom setting.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • May require some travel for customer meetings or events.

Pay Details: $60,000.00 to $70,000.00 per year
