Tax Preparer

We are seeking a skilled Tax Preparer to join our client's rapidly growing financial services firm. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with numbers and is well versed in tax law and regulations. You will be responsible for preparing simple to complex tax returns for individuals and small businesses.

Responsibilities:

1. Accurately prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses using tax software.
2. Interview clients to gather comprehensive financial information.
3. Advise clients in the tax preparation process and troubleshoot issues they have with past tax returns.
4. Keep abreast of tax law changes and regulatory requirements.
5. Maintain client confidentiality and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
6. Assist with tax research, planning and audit defense.
7. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a closely related field.
8. Previous experience in tax preparation required.
9. Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
10. Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office.
11. Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and ability to work under pressure.
