Skilled Maintenance Worker - Domestic Violence Programs - NYC
Description
To assist in the maintenance of a safe, clean, and comfortable physical environment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Sweep, mop, strip, wax and buff common area floors as directed.
+ Clean windows, vents, fans, all fixtures, fire equipment and furnishings on regular basis and inform Superintendent of needed repairs.
+ Clean residential units when vacated and inform Superintendent of needed repairs.
+ Assist in deliveries, unpacking, and stocking shelves.
+ Maintain cleanliness of yard, alleys, picnic and play areas.
+ Inspect, clean and re-stock public bathrooms daily.
+ Clean play rooms and day care rooms daily.
+ Bag and remove garbage in accordance with NYC Sanitation requirements.
+ Sweep, mop, remove garbage, and tidy offices daily.
+ Attend workshops, trainings as directed.
+ Perform other duties as assigned.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
+ High School Diploma or GED
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
+ Demonstrated ability to read and write in English on an 8th grade level.
SPECIFICATIONS FOR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Must be physically and visually able to perform job tasks.
+ Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
