Application Support Engineer

This role is a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with various department members to deliver technical assistance to clinical teams
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to clinical systems and medical devices within our complex hospital systems environment
• Contribute to the coordination, implementation, and completion of specific clinical systems projects
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand the business advantages of our applications and propose optimizations for application and process flow
• Generate and distribute relevant documentation for ongoing support and knowledge management
• Provide tier-two and tier-three support to other teams within our IT department
• Work with outside vendors, service technicians, and other vendors to address problems both reactively and proactively
• Document new and existing applications to clarify their inner workings and facilitate working alongside other programmers or technicians
• Make proposals for, give presentations on, or conduct training sessions for new or existing systems
• Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports or tickets in our ticketing system
• Research technologies and tools to provide information on their suitability for a task
• Test new applications or workflows. • Proficiency in Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with Citrix Technologies
• Knowledge of Cloud Technologies
• Experience with Dell Technologies
• Understanding of Firewall Technologies
• Proficiency in Active Directory
• Experience with Backup Technologies
• Understanding of Computer Hardware
• Familiarity with Configuration Management
• Exceptional Customer Service skills
• Knowledge of HL7 - Health Level 7
• Understanding of Health Level Seven (HL7)
