Summary

This position leads the Installation and Renovation Service group, overseeing project management and installation services. It is directly responsible for a team of 20-30 employees, including 5-8 direct reports, and for driving growth and profitability in the Installation & Renovation business.

Key responsibilities include ensuring seamless installations and maintaining high customer satisfaction from pre-installation through startup. This role also leads ongoing assessments of installation effectiveness, process improvements, and LEAN management initiatives to enhance service quality and drive continuous improvement.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and/or equivalent field experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in construction project management. General Contractor or related license preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct people management experience in a virtual setting.
  • Minimum 3 years' sales or project design experience in a Surgical setting
  • Experience driving process improvements, familiar with Six Sigma or Lean principles.
What you'll do as an Senior Manager, Installation & Renovation Services
  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for Installation & Renovation Services that aligns with Sales and Service goals.
  • Collaborate with Service Management and Sales to optimize operations, ensure profitability, and support installation costing for large projects.
  • Oversee and manage subcontractor programs, ensuring compliance with STERIS standards and qualifications.
  • Direct installation managers to oversee projects from planning to customer acceptance, maintaining cost control and smooth handoffs.
  • Standardize and implement installation processes, policies, and pricing while qualifying and managing subcontractors.
  • Communicate with architects, planners, consultants, and code enforcement officials to ensure compliance and influence equipment recommendations.
  • Provide input on new product development (NPD) to enhance installation efficiency and product launch readiness.
  • Develop training programs for Installation Managers, Specialists, and Subcontractors, including STERIS team certification.
  • Lead process improvements, LEAN initiatives, and service-level enhancements to drive continuous improvement.
  • Track, analyze, and report installation performance, conducting post-project reviews to improve quality and efficiency.
  • Establish and manage reporting, change order tracking, and installation team policies.
  • Provide feedback for Sales, Service, Marketing, and Manufacturing to improve product quality and order processes.
