Opened in 1954 and designed by Morris Lapidus, it was the most luxurious hotel on Miami Beach, and is thought to be the most significant building of Lapidus' career.

Responsibilities:

Responsible of supervising the day-to-day operations of a retail store to ensure profitability, quality standards, and customer satisfaction. Assisting in selling goods and attending to customers on the selling floor to provide courteous and competent services to ensure customer satisfaction.

Examples of Duties, includes but is not limited to the following:

  1. Ensure customer needs are met, service is quick and efficient. Resolve customer concerns and implement resolutions to ensure that luxury standards are practiced in daily transactions.
  2. Compute bill and operate cash register.
  3. Handle credit transactions, make change, cash checks, and issue receipts.
  4. Ensure accuracy of collection and disbursement of money.
  5. Stock shelves and products in the shop and maintain
  6. Inspect incoming products for damages or defects.
  7. Ensure all products and displays are merchandised effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
  8. Schedule labor force and assign work for efficient use of equipment and personnel and conduct Staff training.
  9. Ensure compliance by all retail personnel with Company and departmental rules, policies, and procedures.
  10. Participate in physical inventories and merchandise receiving/tacking activities as needed.
  11. Perform other related duties as assigned including assisting Retail Manager with daily activities.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of selling concepts, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to perform basic/intermediate math skills.
  • Effective supervisory and communication skills. Well organized and demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.
  • Bilingual a plus.
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in a high quality, high volume operation.
