Maintenance Mechanic
Work for a manufacturer in Middlesex County:
Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: o Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns.
o Perform complex mechanical repairs, including diagnosing and fixing issues related to motors, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, and other machinery components.
Safety and Compliance: o Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
o Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: o Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
o Analyze equipment performance and implement improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.Technical Expertise:
o Demonstrate advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical controls, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers).
o Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to guide repairs and installations.
Collaboration and Communication: o Work closely with production teams to understand equipment issues and provide timely solutions.
o Communicate effectively with other maintenance team members, supervisors, and management to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
Equipment Upgrades and Installation: o Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment, including setting up and calibrating systems.
o Support the implementation of equipment upgrades and modifications to enhance performance.
Inventory Management: o Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability of critical components and timely replenishment as needed.
o Work with procurement to order and track parts and tools required for maintenance tasks.
