About the Role: As the VP of Sales and Training, you will be responsible for driving company’s sales strategy while simultaneously overseeing the development and execution of comprehensive sales training programs. This role is critical to ensuring the sales team not only meets its revenue targets but is also continuously improving its skills, knowledge, and performance.

  • Emerging Partners: Directly coach and train technicians and comfort advisors, focusing on skill development and process mastery.
  • Middle Market Partners: Manage and coach local sales managers to improve their leadership and sales effectiveness.
  • Enterprise Partners: Advise sales managers, providing strategic insights and guidance to align their practices with our sales goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy and Leadership:

  • Design and deliver sales training programs customized for different partner levels. This includes creating sales training programs that have clear ROI tied to measurable KPIs such as close percentage, average ticket, discounting percentage, revenue, etc.
  • Develop and implement an overarching sales strategy to achieve revenue growth and market share targets
  • Lead the sales team, including setting goals, managing performance, and driving results.
  • Identify new market opportunities and develop plans to capitalize on them.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to set annual sales goals and forecasts.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics and adjust strategies as need to meet and exceed targets.
  • Foster high-performance sales culture, ensuring alignment with company values and objectives.

Sales Enablement:

  • Equip the sales team with the necessary tools, resources, and materials to successfully engage with clients and close deals.
  • Lead initiatives to integrate new sales technologies and CRM systems, ensuring proper training and usage across the team.

Team Leadership and Mentorship:

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of sales managers, sales representatives, and sales trainers.
  • Serve as a key coach to senior sales leaders and direct reports, guiding them on sales techniques, leadership, and operational excellence.

Collaborate with Leadership:

  • Work with local Partner leadership, LSP regional leadership, and other stakeholders to identify training needs, align programs with strategic goals, and ensure continuous improvement.

Facilitating Onboarding:

  • Provide training tools and frameworks for Partner companies to effectively onboard new sales-oriented employees minimizing ramp up time and speeding up time to productivity.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of overall experience in residential sales preferably with a focus on residential services including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, roofing, solar, etc.
  • 7+ years proven experience in a sales training capacity with a focus on residential services industry.
  • Proficient in creating scalable and actional training programs which can be delivered through multiple modalities (in-person, virtual, self-paced, etc.).
  • Strong business acumen, with a track record of driving growth and profitability.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Ability to capture an audience with interactive programming.
  • Knowledge of the home service industry and related regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in using technology and software systems to drive operational efficiencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience with Service Titan platform a strong plus
