Job Summary:
Artemis is seeking a full-time Communication Strategist with experience in communication planning and support services for federal customers. The Communication Strategist will deliver top-quality public affairs and marketing content in support of a highly visible public affairs portfolio with numerous moving parts.A successful candidate will have experience gauging public sentiment and leveraging metrics to improve campaign performance. This is a role for a proactive professional who can respond to customer needs quickly, leans into problem solving, is an action-oriented team player, and is able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
This is a contingent hire position. A signed letter of commitment is required.
This is an on-site position.
The expected compensation at the time of requisition creation is between $65,000-$85,000.00. The position offers medical, dental and vision coverage. Additional benefits such as 401K, disability insurance and PTO are provided as well.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop thoughtful, engaging communications products in support of large campaigns, including press releases, social media content, website content, news summaries, and other materials.
- Engage with graphic designer to ensure creative aligns with brand and messaging goals.
- Create and maintain a content calendar for campaigns and events.
- Monitor news and earned media, providing regular briefings and highlighting risk.
- Ensure deliverables are flawless and provide value to the customer.
- Assist in management of a dashboard to provide the government with a common operating picture that informs communication strategy to stakeholders.
- Plan and deploy social media campaigns across various platforms and channels and measure impact.
- Respond to media queries with minimal supervision and maximum tact.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5 years of strategic communications experience within the last 10 years.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, management, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience executing communications campaigns for federal clients.
- Experience with media monitoring and social listening software, including knowledge synthesizing metrics into actionable insights.
- Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
- Active Secret government clearance.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
