Human Resources Generalist

Our client, located near Parsippany NJ, is currently hiring for a Human Resources Generalist with a heavy focus in Benefits to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist of Benefits will be responsible for overseeing and managing a wide range of HR-related tasks including employee benefits, leave of absence administration, HRIS maintenance, and compliance with applicable regulations.

The Human Resources Generalist of Benefits will be responsible for:

• Evaluating, developing, and administering employee benefits plans
• Comparing current benefits with other plans, investigating discrepancies, and proposing improvements.
• Managing major benefits activities, such as open enrollment, complying with governmental regulations, and handling legal aspects of leave administration.
• Ensuring compliance with all state and federal disability and family leave laws
• Managing our HIPAA and ACA processes, as well as conducting necessary audits.
• Being the main contact person for employees about their benefits.
• Assisting in HR department efficiency improvements and special projects.
• Preparing and maintaining HR records and documents like the employee handbook.
• Occasionally assisting with Payroll when needed.

Candidates applying to this position are required to have the following:

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; along with 3-5 years of experience in benefits.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now
• PHR highly preferred
