Our client, a highly regarded regional law firm, is seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Attorney to join their Real Estate & Commercial Development Practice Group(link removed)>
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active bar admission in the applicable state.
- 6+ years of substantive experience in complex commercial real estate transactions, with a significant emphasis on negotiating leases for retail, office, healthcare, and industrial spaces.
- Experience representing both landlords and tenants is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to manage transactions both independently and collaboratively.
- Exceptional drafting and negotiation skills, with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and draft comprehensive lease agreements, including retail, office, and industrial leases.
- Manage leasing transactions from initial letter of intent through finalization and post-closing matters.
- Work collaboratively with clients in-house teams to support their leasing and real estate management objectives.
- Address various lease structures, including subleases, ground leases, build-to-suit, and retrofit-to-suit arrangements.
- Handle sophisticated lease documentation and ensure adherence to relevant legal and regulatory standards.
