Job Title: Patient Access Representative

Duties:

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments using IDX or similar systems.
  • Perform full patient registration, ensuring clinical, demographic, and financial information is accurate and complete.
  • Collect co-payments and reconcile payments with charges daily, maintaining detailed records.
  • Process referrals and pre-authorizations, ensuring compliance with managed care guidelines.
  • Enter and reconcile charges using CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding in IDX or Eagle systems.
  • Greet and check in patients, providing directions and assistance as needed.
  • Monitor patient flow and resolve registration and processing issues.

Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in medical terminology and basic CPT-4 and ICD-9 coding.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience with managed care and commercial insurance preferred.

Pay Range:

  • Weekly: $1,300 - $1,600
