Main responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Provide mentorship and guidance to managers and accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
• Financial Management: Oversee month-end. financial accounts, ledgers, and financial reporting to ensure compliance with GAAP standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.
• Oversee Financial Transactions: Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
• Journal Entries: Review, process, and approve monthly journal entries.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct monthly variance analysis and other necessary financial assessments.
• Account Reconciliations: Review and verify reconciliations of various accounts for accuracy and promptly address discrepancies.
• Internal Controls: Support the maintenance and development of internal controls and accounting processes.
• Process Improvements: Identify and implement opportunities for improving accounting procedures, enhancing efficiency, and increasing accuracy.
• Audit Coordination: Support audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and coordinating with external auditors.

Requirements:

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or related
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Management/supervisory experience is required
• Manufacturing industry experience is highly preferred (within a private role or from clients within public accounting)
• Public accounting and CPA (or CPA in progress) is a plus!
