Staff Accountant

Overview:

Location: U.S. Remote (must be able to work 7am-3pm PST)

Pay: UP TO 66k DOE

The Staff Accountant will provide support to the Accounting department with a variety of general accounting operations as needed and directed. Primary responsibilities include providing management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.

This position is an active and productive office environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and balances an automated consolidation system by inputting data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
  • Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts.
  • Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
  • Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes.
  • Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must have strong competency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must have accuracy and attention to detail
  • Must have great communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with people at all levels

Desired Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • 2 or more years of accounting experience

Work Authorization: Must be able to verify identity and employment eligibility to work in the U.S.
