Overview:

Data Scientist I applies knowledge of 3D visualization, image analytics, machine learning, statistical analysis and mathematical modeling to solve complex biological and biomedical problems in the laboratory. Additionally, this position will require skills in mammalian cell culture and confocal microscopy and work in collaboration with a lab scientist(s) to generate experimental data for analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering from imaging, cell culture, and genomic data.
  • Works with Principle Investigator and other lab members to identify and document project analytics requirements.
  • Communicate results and measure improvement of analytics projects.
  • Discovers emerging analytic techniques and applies them to the biomedical project.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree In Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Bioinformatics, Computer science, Biology, Biochemistry, or related field preferred and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training 1-2 years' experience in healthcare data and/or data science preferred, but none required or

Starting Pay:

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $34.21/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.

Remote Work/Work from Home:

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
