Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist

We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist in Pittsburg, California. The selected candidate will be part of a team dedicated to managing the company's accounts payable and payroll processes. This role involves handling account reconciliations, processing checks, coding invoices, and data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Process A/P invoices and checks accurately, ensuring approvals, correct calculations, and matching checks.
• Monitor discount opportunities, verify federal IDs, and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, invoices, or payments.
• Address vendor inquiries and collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues.
• Process employee expense reports, ensuring proper approvals and receipts.
• Reconcile vendor statements, investigating and correcting discrepancies.
• Properly code invoices/expense reports with accurate GL entries.
• Set up and maintain accurate vendor information, including W-9s.
• Produce annual 1099 tax filings.
• Assist with month-end/year-end close for accruals and reconciliation.
• Assist with payroll data entry and other payroll-related tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years of Accounts Payable (AP) experience.
• Diligent, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
• Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good team player.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Requirements:

• Experience with SAP full-cycle AP module.
• ADP Workforce experience is a plus.
