The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for the following:

• Determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements.
• Analyze appropriate security assurance levels.
• Evaluate security policies and assess next-generation threats.
• Analyze potential impacts of new threats and exploits; develop and implement expert firewall solutions to mitigate those threats.
• Assess risks to critical applications and recommend appropriate security controls.
• Communicate risks to relevant business units.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a technical and/or business application, product, platform, or methodology.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and the OSI model; knowledge of TCP/IP stack.
• Experience designing secure networks, systems, and applications with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
• Proven experience in planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Proficiency in working with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

• Cybersecurity experience in a PSAC/PSAP environment, particularly with NG911 systems.
• One or more relevant information security and/or networking certifications such as CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, or PCNSE.
• Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
