Tax Preparer

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Tax Preparer in Auburn, New York, United States. In this role, you will focus on processing various tax documents, primarily for personal and small business accounts. This role operates in the financial services industry and utilizes various accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Processing a wide variety of personal and small business tax documents
• Utilizing accounting software systems.
• Ensuring accurate and efficient entry of taxes into ProServices
• Managing a workload of approximately 40 hours per week with flexibility
• Providing excellent customer service while addressing and resolving customer inquiries
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions as needed
• Assisting with additional accounting functions as required
• Maintaining accurate records of customer credit applications
• Handling tasks related to allowances and deductibles..
• Proficiency in accounting software systems is necessary for efficient task completion.
• Knowledge of CCH Sales Tax is essential for accurate tax calculation.
• Ability to use Drake Tax Software effectively is required.
• Understanding of basic accounting functions is essential for accurate financial reporting.
• Knowledge of allowances is necessary for proper tax computation.
• Excellent customer service skills are required to ensure client satisfaction.
• Precision and speed in data entry is necessary to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Familiarity with deductible items is required for accurate tax calculation.
