Staff Accountant

Operating in the industry, the selected candidate will also play a vital role in maintaining accurate customer records and taking necessary actions on customer accounts.

• Accurately process accounts payable invoices and payments.
• Offer assistance in the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
• Carry out month-end reconciliations and prepare analysis of accounts as required.
• Assist with weekly payroll processing and HR administration.
• Implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.
• Keep track of Sales and Use Tax.
• Support project management with project-related accounting tasks.
• Maintain schedule of Rental Equipment.
• Handle the processing of expense reports and ensure their accuracy.
• Assist in the monthly and year-end closing processes.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations.
• Familiarity with General Ledger and Journal Entries.
• Knowledge and experience in Month End Close procedures.
• Proficiency in using Viewpoint Vista software.
• Experience with Paychex and Paychex Payroll systems.
• Knowledge of Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll.
• Experience in Project Accounting.
• Background in Construction and Construction Accounting.
• Experience in handling Sales Tax and Tax - Sales & Use.
• Ability to complete, process, and report on Expense Reports.
