Software Engineer
Job Description:
- Translates operational requirements into software requirements.
- Participates in planning, coordinating, and scheduling activities applicable to software development.
- Develops and executes software and system test strategies.
- Assists in integrating software products into virtualized environment.
- Reviews and assesses developmental contractor software code to ensure compliance with government-provided coding and cybersecurity standards. Hands on experience with multiple development languages such as: C and C++, Python, Java and Javascript, Ruby
- Responsible for understanding current technologies and Operating Systems such as: Linux, Unix, and Microsoft, Big Data Stacks (Hadoop, accumulo, elasicsearch, kibana), cloud technologies and platforms, virtualization and containerization technologies, cybersecurity tools related to networks, DevSecOps pipelines.
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience. Experience programming in multiple languages
- 2+ years’ experience with Cybersecurity
- 2+ years’ experience with Agile methodologies
- Experience with DevOps
- Experience with Unix-based and Windows Operating Systems
- Experience in Cloud environments and Big Data
